Have you received a 'Door Forced Alarm' notification from your Sequr system? If so, this could possibly indicate that someone has gained access to your property without scanning a valid key.

IMPORTANT: Door forced alarms can only occur if your system includes door monitors. Door monitors are hardware devices that can detect when a door is open or closed.

If your system includes door monitors, the monitors can detect when a person has used a valid credential to successfully gain access to a door, or when someone has failed to scan a valid credential and still managed to bypass a door. If this occurs and you've enabled your system to notify you of these events, then you should receive a Door Forced Alarm.

What if your system does not have door monitors?

If you've received a 'Door Forced Alarm' and your doors do not have door monitors, then the notification you've received is a false 'Door Forced Alarm.' You might get these notifications after applying changes to your system configurations via your Sequr admin dashboard. If this is the case, it's likely that the Door Monitor loops on your Sequr controller have not been properly closed.

If you're unsure as to whether your system has door monitors, please reach out to support@sequr.io. By sending a picture of the V100 interface that operates the door that's triggering your Door Forced Alarms, Sequr Support can help determine if your system is wired for door monitor use, or if it is not.

If your system does not have door monitors and you'd like to cease getting 'Door Forced Alarm' notifications, you can disable this notification preference. Additionally, we can disable your controller’s ability to send these notifications. If you would like to do so, please contact us at support@sequr.io for more information.
